The country's top 28 ulama-mashayekh have strongly condemned the filing of a case against Hefazat leaders for allegedly plotting to assassinate Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi. In a statement signed by Maulana Fazlul Karim Qasemi, assistant secretary general of Hifazat-e-Islam, on Sunday, they said the conspirators would have no place to flee if Hifazat woke up.
In a statement, the ulama said that Allama Shafi's eldest son and teachers of Hathazari Moinul Islam Madrasa had testified in front of the people through the media about the natural death of Allama Shafi. However, in order to create an unstable environment in the country and to implement the agenda of the invisible power, a section is filing false cases against the top and popular scholars of the country and is making disrespectful statements and behavior towards the top educators including Amir Hefazat Allama Junaid Babungari. We strongly protest and condemn him.
I demand that this false case be withdrawn immediately and that these conspiratorial brokers who are disturbing the peace in the country be found and brought to justice. Otherwise, if Islam wakes up in custody, the conspirators will not find a place to escape, the statement said.
