Touhidul Islam Siam, a third year (2017-18 academic year) student of Zoology Department of Dhaka University, has committed suicide.
He committed suicide at his home in Keraniganj on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Siam, son of Rafiqul Islam of Hijla village under Shakta union of Keraniganj upazila. He was at home at the time of the coronavirus epidemic.
Professor Dr. Chairman of the Department of Zoology. Niamul Naser said, I have talked to his uncle. The boy is very talented. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. Talking to classmates and family members, I am trying to find out the reason for his suicide. We are all mourning.
