Rangpur District Awami League's 75-member full committee has been approved. The Prime Minister's son, Information and Technology Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy has been made the number one member. On the occasion, Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, president of the new committee, Advocate Rezaul Karim Raju, general secretary and members of the executive committee and advisory council of the organization paid their respects by laying wreaths at the mural of Bangabandhu at the district school corner of the city on Saturday.
Later, at a meeting at the party office in Betpatti, the speakers said, "People have confidence in the Awami League. We have to work for the masses while maintaining that confidence." We have to build a drug and terror free Rangpur. The development of Sheikh Hasina government should be conveyed to the grassroots people. We have to be ready to resist the conspiracy against the sculpture of Bangabandhu all over the country.
The Rangpur district Awami League committee was approved on December 6, but the news was released on Saturday. Sajib Wazed Joy has been nominated as the number one member of the three-year executive parliament. Awami League General Secretary and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has approved the committee.
