The Bangladesh Embassy in Qatar has honored seven Qatari expatriates as the highest remittance sender on the occasion of International Migrants Day with the slogan 'Mujib's call of the year is to go abroad efficiently'.
Newly appointed Ambassador Jasim Uddin presided over the function while Councilor of Passport and Visa Department Nazmul Hasan conducted the function.
On the occasion, the President, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs read the message of the Labor Councilor. Mustafizur Rahman, Embassy Chief Mahbub Rahman and Third Secretary Moniruzzaman Chowdhury.
Ambassador Jasim Uddin said the purpose of the day was to evaluate the contribution of the migrant workers who are working tirelessly to strengthen the economic base of the country.
Political, social, cultural, officials and employees of Bangladesh Embassy and various media personnel were present on the occasion.
