Bipin Rawat, Chief of Defense Staff of the Indian Army, said that he would like to see Nepal learn from Sri Lanka. He mentioned this in the context of closeness with China. He suggested that Nepal should take a good look at the situation in Sri Lanka before considering China as a friend and listening to them.

This was stated by Bipin Rawat while addressing a virtual event recently. The last few months have seen massive clashes between India and China on the Ladakh border. The problem is still not completely solved. India's relations with Nepal are also affected by this problem. But behind this is China's provocation and Nepal's China-dependence. Although Nepal's relations with India have always been good, the problem started at that time because of China.

To address the issue, Samant Kumar Goel, head of the Indian intelligence agency Research Analysis (RA), has visited Kathmandu twice from New Delhi in the last two months. Also present were Foreign Secretary Harshvardhan Sringla and Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravan. He held various talks to enhance India's good relations with Nepal. Later this month, Nepal's Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gewali is scheduled to visit India again.

At such a time, Bipin Rawat fears that if Nepal tries to increase its closeness with China, it could be dangerous for Nepal. Because China is trying to ensnare other countries with financial loans. India's Chief of Defense Staff has accused Sri Lanka of being a victim of Chinese fraud.
