RAB has arrested three active members of the banned militant group Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in raids at various places in Godagari and Chapainawabganj in Rajshahi. RAB-5 said this in a press release on Monday.
According to the notification, they were detained from Godagari in Rajshahi and Chapainawabganj in a raid from last Saturday night to Sunday afternoon. The arrested are Ali (36) of Haradang area of Godagari upazila, Hasan Ali (27) of Mahishalbari area and Emon Ali (21) of Kamar Jagdail area of Nachol upazila of Chapainawabganj.
According to RAB, a team of RAB-5 in Rajshahi conducted an operation and arrested them on the basis of intelligence information. They are accused in a case filed under the anti-terrorism law at Nachol police station in Chapainawabganj. Legal action is being taken against the detainees.
