Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader has claimed that the information spread by various international organizations and multinational media about the forced relocation of Rohingyas to Bhasanchar is not true. He also called on international organizations to adopt effective strategies to put pressure on Myanmar to repatriate Rohingya citizens. He made the call at a regular briefing at his official residence here on Monday morning.

Obaidul Quader said, "Since the beginning of the Rohingya crisis, the Sheikh Hasina government has been seeking the cooperation of the international community for a peaceful solution to the issue." Diplomatic activities have also continued.

He said, "As 1.2 million Rohingya people have taken shelter in Teknaf-Ukhia, their livelihood is under severe pressure on the economy of Bangladesh." The natural environment is being damaged. The social environment and balance are under threat due to overcrowding. As a result, there is a risk of human and environmental disasters.

The general secretary of the Awami League also commented that the world's longest sandy beach is also having a negative impact on the tourism industry. "As the repatriation of Myanmar has been delayed, the government has taken steps to relocate the Rohingya to Bhasanchar with more facilities," he said. Although those who have already moved to Bhasanchar are relieved, some international organizations and multinational media are promoting the forced relocation of Rohingyas to Bhasanchar, which is not true.

Only those who wanted to go voluntarily are being relocated, not under any pressure, the bridge minister said.

Regarding corona vaccine, the minister said the government has already taken initiative to collect corona vaccine. He expressed hope that the vaccine would arrive in the country in the last week of January or in February.

Obaidul Quader said, "Preparations are being made to complete the collection and management of vaccines smoothly. The Ministry of Health is working on this and is informing the people.

The general secretary of the Awami League also commented that a mahal is active in unnecessarily criticizing any good initiative of the government. He further said, "The vaccine has not come yet, the Matlab community has started confusing it." He urged the people not to be distracted by all these purposeful propaganda.

BNP leaders have said that the government is sacrificing national interest to foreign powers to retain power. Obaidul Quader said, "Indeed, the people of the country know who is waiting at the door of foreign embassies with flowers and sweets to come to power. Daylight prays for moral help.

Obaidul Quader also said that the independence of this country has come under the leadership of Awami League. He added, "BNPE is ready to sacrifice national interest for power, not Awami League."
