A motorist named Santosh Vaidya (48) lost control and was killed in Kamalganj of Moulvibazar. At least four people, including children, were injured in the incident. The accident took place on Kamalganj-Srimangal road in Magurchhara area of ​​Lauyachhara National Park at 12 noon on Monday. The deceased was identified as Santosh Vaidya of Durgapur village under Kulaura upazila.

According to Kamalganj Police Station sources, the autorickshaw driver lost control when the CNG-powered autorickshaw reached Magurchhara area of ​​Lauyachhara National Park at 12 midnight on Monday. Later, when the vehicle collided head-on with a pole on the side of the road, the front of the car was twisted. The driver Santosh Vaidya died on the spot and four passengers of the autorickshaw were injured. Upon receiving the news, a team of Kamalganj Police rescued 4 injured passengers including the dead driver and admitted them to Kamalganj Upazila Health Complex.

Kamalganj Upazila Health Complex emergency department doctor. Abhijit Sinha said police rescued five people injured in the accident and admitted them to the health complex at night. The driver Santosh Vaidya was found dead. Others have been left with first aid.

Kamalganj police officer in charge (OC) said. Confirming the incident, Arifur Rahman said that the accident took place due to dense fog in the hilly area.
