Mehedi Hasan Ashiq Rabbani has given a confessional statement in the court in the case of raping a college student in Chittagong. He testified in the Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate's Court on Monday, admitting his involvement in the rape. The court later sent him to jail.

Earlier on Monday morning, he was arrested from Maizdi area of ​​Noakhali. The incident of organized rape took place at Mehdi's house. After the incident, Mehedi fled and hid at his aunt's house in Fatehpur area of ​​Maijdi in Noakhali.

Zahir Hossain, OC of Akbar Shah Police Station, said that when the accused was sent to court, he confessed to the incident and gave a statement. He has been sent to jail.

On December 11, accused Mehedi and his friend Aryan called a college student and raped her at a house in East Feroz Shah Colony of Akbarshah Police Station in Chittagong. The girl's mother filed a rape case with the Akbarshah police station.

The lawsuit alleges that Aryan had a love affair with his twelfth grade daughter. The college student started avoiding Aryan as she was banned from home. On the day of the incident, Aryan called her and told her that she was at the house of her friend Mehedi, who was injured in a motorcycle accident. Later, they gang-raped the college student. No one was at Mehdi's house at the time of the incident. The accused left the song loudly so that it could not be heard from outside when the girl was shouting. The main accused in the case Rakibul Hasan Arian was arrested by the police on December 16.
