RAB has arrested seven people in Savar on charges of swindling money from ordinary people in the name of opening fake companies and giving them jobs. RAB-4 members arrested them from the office of Tariqul Forster Security Service Limited in Tentuljhora College Road area on Wednesday evening. They were later sent to court on Thursday afternoon.

The arrested are- Naogaon district Md. Selim Hossain (29), said Manikganj district. Sohail Rana (24), Taslima Akhter (20), said Narayanganj. Azizul Islam (22), said Bogra. Sohan (18), said Madaripur. Jahangir Hossain (21) and Farhana Akhter Simu (18) of Dhaka.

According to RAB, a raid was carried out on the office of Tariqul Forster Security Service Limited on Wednesday evening. During the operation, 200 recruitment notices, 25 CVs, 5 exemption forms, 30 small banners of recruitment notifications, scanners, CPUs, monitors, laptops and 11 mobile phones were seized and 7 fraudsters were arrested. Meanwhile, RAB members rescued 12 job seekers who were cheated from the company.

Superintendent of Police. Ziaur Rahman Chowdhury said that during the preliminary interrogation, the detainees said that after taking money from people promising to give them jobs, they were sent to different office addresses. After going to all these offices, the victims did not get a job and came back to the office and demanded money back.

A case was filed against the detainees at Savar Model Police Station on Wednesday night and they were sent to court on Thursday afternoon.
