Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has been arrested in Mumbai. Singer Guru Randhawa was also arrested along with him. They were later released on bail.

Police raided the Dragon Fly Nightclub in Mumbai late Monday night and arrested them. Apart from Suresh-Randhawa, 34 people were arrested in the operation. They were charged under sections 188, 269 and 34 of the Act.

The Maharashtra government has introduced a number of rules from December 22 to January 5 to prevent the spread of Corona during the English New Year celebrations. Strictness has been imposed. So curfew was imposed from Monday night. The club was also closed. Going beyond that rule, the club was open till late at night. Raina and others were arrested there.

Raina said goodbye to international cricket on August 15. He has played 18 Tests, 226 ODIs and 78 T20Is for India. The left-arm batsman, who played for Chennai in the IPL, became the third batsman in the world and the first Indian to score a century in an international T20 match. He also became the first batsman in the world to score a century in three or so innings.
