Dhaka Airport Executive Magistrate's Court on Saturday fined Biman Bangladesh Airlines for transporting passengers from abroad in violation of health rules.
The Private Aviation Authority (CAA) said in a statement. However, the amount of the fine was not known.
Earlier, a Maldivian airline was fined Tk 236,000 at the airport.
It is learned that a BG-440 flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines with 417 passengers from Riyadh landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday at 2.30 pm. At that time 10 passengers of this flight were sent to quarantine as there was no negative certificate of coroner.
Airport health officials said the airport was fined by the airport's executive magistrate. In this regard, the chairman of Bebichak, Air Vice Marshal M Mofidur Rahman told Samakal that he was fined for violating the health rules.
