Locals have arrested a fake Kabiraj named Humayun Kabir Sardar and handed him over to the police on charges of raping a third class girl in Char Batamara village of Muladi upazila of Barisal.
Police sent the accused Humayun to jail through the court on Tuesday (December 22) in the case filed in the incident. Humayun is the son of late Joynal Sardar of Brajmohan village in Safipur union. At the same time, the police sent the tortured third class student of Char Batamara Government Primary School to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital for medical examination.
Earlier on Monday (December 21) afternoon, the victim's father filed a rape case against Humayun. The plaintiff in the case alleged that Humayun was called last Monday afternoon to have the child physically challenged. Humayun was sweeping the girl in a room of the house. At that time the child's parents were removed from there. He later raped the child in a closed room in the name of scrubbing. When the locals came to know about the incident, they arrested him and handed him over to the police.
Muladi Police Station OC Fayez Uddin said the victim's father had filed a case in the incident. The accused was handed over to the court showing his arrest in that case. The court ordered him sent to jail. The child victim was sent to a medical center for a medical examination.
