In Rangpur, new primary school books will reach door to door without any formality. And the students will be intoxicated by the smell of the new book while sitting at home. The primary education office has taken such a decision in Corona.
Rangpur District Primary Education Officer AM Shahjahan Siddique said students in classes I to V would get new textbooks at home. For this purpose, textbooks will be distributed in the houses of the students in vans under the responsibility of one or two teachers in each neighborhood of the district.
According to the Education Office, this time 20 lakh 43 thousand 974 textbooks will be distributed among five lakh eight thousand 380 students of one thousand 458 primary schools. In the meantime, 70 per cent of the allotted textbooks have reached Rangpur. The rest of the textbooks will be available by December 20.
Shahjahan Siddique said there is a demand of four lakh 84 thousand 500 books for one lakh 10 thousand students of 223 schools in Sadar area including Rangpur City Corporation.
There is a demand of one lakh 53 thousand 556 books for 44 thousand 481 students of 115 schools in Kaunia. In Gangachara Upazila, 58 thousand students of 179 primary educational institutions will get 217,500 books. 75 schools in Taraganj will get 26 thousand 618 books. There is a demand of 62,626 books for 237 schools in Pirganj. In Pirgachha, 178 schools will get 66,745 books. There are 52,300 books for 176 schools in Badarganj and 86,410 books for 275 schools in Mithapukur.
