If someone comes to Bangladesh from Britain, he has to stay in quarantine for 14 days. The directive was given at a virtual cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday, Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam said.

In a briefing, he said those coming from London would have to go to quarantine. Whoever comes from the London flight, even if he has a negative yesterday (report), he still has to stay in the compulsory 14-day institutional quarantine. The Prime Minister has given us clear instructions.

The cabinet secretary said quarantine arrangements have been made at Diabari and Hajj camps in the capital, adding that some hotels will also be set up. He said those coming from London would be given two options. Government's official quarantine at Diabari and Hajj camps or quarantine at the hotel's own expense.

Anwarul said discussions have been held to tag a few hotels. If they give us the option with advance notification, will they stay in our quarantine or if they come to Sylhet, then Sylhet will be done in Sylhet.

If there is a hotel not in the quarantine of the government, the person concerned will have to pay the hotel cost, said the cabinet secretary. "Any of us who are going to Singapore have no other option," he said. Even if it is negative, it will not happen, they still have to stay there.

They will test again.
