Bioflock farming is becoming more and more popular in Naogaon's Raninagar. At present, Samiul Alam Khan Tushar, a university student, is financially supported by fish farming in this way. Snow has set a unique example by cultivating fish in the bioflox method. The amount of agricultural land is decreasing at an alarming rate by digging new ponds day by day to cultivate fish. In such a time of crisis, the technology of fish farming with bioflock method has brought new possibilities. No ponds, canals or rivers are required for fish farming in this method. Instead, fish can be farmed all year round by constructing tanks with brick-cement in the barn next to the house or in the yard. Even housewives can do fish farming in their own home in addition to household chores. Samiul Alam Tushar Khan is playing a huge role in meeting the demand for meat of the people of the country including his own area by cultivating fish in bioflock method.

It is learned that Samiul Alam Khan Tushar, son of Mahbur Alam Khan University student of Kujail Khan Para village of Kashimpur union of the upazila. Inspired by watching digital fish farming on YouTube thanks to digital technology, he took a three-day basic training in two and a half thousand upazilas of Narayanganj district on the advice of a former fisheries officer. At the end of the training, without running after the job, he started fish farming in this way for the first time in his own house on a small scale with the aim of earning some extra income besides studying with the help of his father Mahbubur Alam. In the backyard of the house, at the end of 2019, two tanks and other infrastructures were constructed and the cultivation of horn fish was started experimentally and later on, Tushar got great success.

Samiul Alam Khan Tushar said that it is very easy for anyone to cultivate fish in this way with little investment. Even housewives can train fish in this way along with family work with training. I would like to expand this project on a larger scale with government support in the future. This method of fish farming is very popular in China, Indonesia and neighboring India. In this method very little food is given for the fish. The bioflok method is used to process fish excrement and spoiled food with the help of bacteria so that it can be re-fed to the fish. This greatly reduces the cost of food.

Shilpi Roy, senior fisheries officer of the upazila, said fish farming using bioflock method is profitable. However, the widespread use of its technology in our country has not yet begun. Samiul has started fish farming on his own initiative. We are coming up with the right advice to Snow. Anyone can cultivate fish in this way. However, I am hopeful that this method will get a wide response among the people in the future.
