Sub-Inspector (SI) of Barisal Kotwali Model Police Station Reazul Islam has been accused of misbehaving with a doctor while investigating a case alleging wrong treatment.
The Barisal branch of the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) has demanded the withdrawal of the police officer.

Moniruzzaman made the allegations against SI Riazul in a statement on Thursday night and demanded his withdrawal from Kotwali police station. At the same time, he demanded that the police officers take measures so that they would not be treated rudely in the future.
BMA Barisal branch president and superintendent of Islami Bank Hospital said in a statement. Istiaq Hossain was condemned for making the accused in the case, it is said that Dr. Istiaq Hossain is not involved. He has been accused in the case of harassing him.
SI Reazul Islam went to Islami Bank Hospital on December 22 at 9 pm for preliminary investigation of the case. At the time he was absent from the hospital, the hospital's superintendent and BMA president. Istiaq treated Hossain rudely on his mobile phone.
The BMA statement further mentioned that the doctor accused of wrong operation, Dr. When MS Rahman Sumon announced to take charge of the treatment of the victim Manik Karikar, the patient went to the police station to withdraw the case. But the police officers abused their power without withdrawing the case. In this situation, Manik Karikar applied to the court to withdraw the case through affidavit last Thursday.
Dr. Islami Bank Hospital. Sumon operated on Manik Karikar's hernia on December 17. Although he was supposed to operate on his left side, doctor MS Rahman Sumon operated on his right side. Manik Karikar filed a case with Barisal Kotwali Model Police Station on December 20.
