India have been penalized in the last T20 match they lost to Australia. Virat Kohli's team has been fined for slow over rate.

Match referee David Boone fined India 20 per cent of the match fee for reducing the ball to one over in the allotted time. No formal hearing was required as India captain Kohli admitted responsibility.

India lost to Australia by 12 runs in the last T20 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Earlier, Kohli's side won the first two matches and the three-match T20 series.

In the first ODI against Australia too, Virat Kohli's team had to pay a fine for slow over rate.
