Barisal University (BOBI) student of public administration department Md. Khalid Hassan has been suspended.
Sunday, the acting registrar of the university, Professor. A statement signed by Muhsin Uddin said further action would be taken against Khalid Hasan at the university's syndicate meeting. Khalid is a student of the Department of Public Administration, 2015-16 academic year.
University Proctor. Subrata Kumar Das said ordinary students had lodged a written complaint against Khalid in October last year for allegedly using Bangabandhu and his family on Facebook and running various communal hate campaigns. The allegation was accompanied by screenshots of various abusive statuses made about Bangabandhu and his family from his personal Facebook account. After a long investigation and the statement of the accused, the university disciplinary committee recommended the temporary expulsion of the accused student Khalid Hasan from the university.
Accused Khalid Hassan said on his mobile phone that the university administration had taken his statement while investigating the allegations. Then he explained his position. He has nothing more to say about this.
