A severe lockdown has begun in Germany after another 952 people died of the corona virus in a single day on Wednesday. All schools have been closed. Initiatives have also been taken to stop unnecessary trade. There, 27,728 people were infected with the corona virus on Wednesday. After that, austerity was announced till January 10. However, the restrictions may be relaxed on the occasion of Christmas. Under this a maximum of four close family members or guests are allowed to entertain at home. In addition, other European countries have tightened restrictions ahead of Christmas.
France has imposed a night curfew. In Germany, only essential supermarkets and banks are allowed to remain open under the new restrictions. Restaurants, bars and leisure centers have been closed since November. Lockdowns have been imposed locally in some parts of the country. With this news, the online BBC says that under the new restrictions, even the saloon has to be closed. Drinking alcohol in public places is prohibited. Employees of the companies have been encouraged to work from home.
