7 members of Dalal Chakra have been arrested from Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DB) of Rangpur Metropolitan Police Uttam Prasad Pathak led the operation at the hospital on Sunday morning. At that time, seven members of the gang were arrested from the first gate of the hospital, the emergency department.
The arrested are- Hazirhat Hasna Bazar Md. Akhter Hossain's son. Abul Kashem (50), son of Kadimtala Akib Uddin. Rafiq (41), son of Hariram Piroj Tafel Uddin. Abdul Mannaf (35), son of the late Ancharullah of CO Bazar Kellaband. Dulal (45), son of Mansur Ali of Pandardighi area. Khorshed Alam (67), son of the late Elahi of Dhap Kakli Lane. Israfil (32) and Jahedul Islam (45), son of Elahi Baksh of Taraganj Ikarchali.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DB) Uttam Prasad Pathak said, "We have kept Rangpur Medical College Hospital under surveillance on the instructions of the Commissioner of Police." About 30 brokers have already been arrested in five raids. We are working hard to ensure that patients do not fall into the clutches of brokers and suffer indescribable hardships. Seven people have been arrested today and legal action is being taken against them at Kotwali police station.
