During the excavation of Tulsiganga river at Panchbibi in Joypurhat, 10 Kasti stone idols of Lakshmi have been recovered. The upazila administration recovered the idols from Patharghata area of ​​the upazila on Wednesday morning. The rescued idols are made of Kasti stone and look like Lakshmi idols. Each statue is about 3 feet high.

According to local sources, excavation work on the Tulsiganga river has been going on for the last few days with government funding. On Wednesday morning, the excavation workers started digging in the river with the help of soil cutting machine Veku. At this time, 1 Kasti stone idol was first found from the ground. Later, the workers stopped work and informed the Panchbibi Upazila Nirbahi Officer. Upon receiving the news, the executive officer came to the spot and instructed to start the excavation work again. Then 9 more idols were found in the same place.

 Panchbibi Upazila Nirbahi Officer Barman Hossain said that after receiving the news, they went to the spot and recovered 1 idol and then 9 more idols. The idols have been submitted to the deputy commissioner's office. However, it can be known only by examining whether the idols are made of Kasti stone.
